About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist for a hybrid contract-to-hire opportunity with a Global Financial Institution in Plano, TX. This role focuses on software testing for an ATM platform, specifically planning and executing regression tests for all application releases. The position requires working in a lab environment with a hybrid schedule, necessitating at least three days onsite per week. Testing will involve a combination of software, hardware, and firmware on physical ATM devices. Familiarity with the Agile framework and tools like Jira for test management and defect tracking is essential.

Requirements

Ability to plan and document test plans and test cases/scripts
Proven ability to execute tests and troubleshoot issues to narrow down problems
Ability to document defects and issues while providing due diligence
Understanding of the agile framework and the tester's role in the process
Ability to assess and refine Epics, Stories, and bugs
Experience with device testing in a lab environment
Team-focused behavior with an ability to communicate issues in a timely and appropriate manner
Able to work independently and make decisions to move work forward

Responsibilities

Plan and execute regression tests for all releases of the ATM applications
Develop and report on appropriate tests for the releases and document any defects or issues found
Perform due diligence and troubleshooting of problems
Function in a lab environment, working with physical hardware (ATMs)
Utilize agile tools such as Jira for test management and defect tracking
Conduct exploratory and UAT testing, working closely with business partners to gain acceptance
Install software, condition data, and communicate test environmental issues
