About The Position

Lutheran Services Florida (LSF) is seeking a talented Quality Assurance Specialist to support the CMO staff & leadership team. This role involves monitoring cases, collecting and analyzing data for child welfare case management performance and outcomes, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws, contracts, and accreditation standards. The specialist will create and produce performance reports for senior leadership, conduct performance analysis, and provide insights into trends, barriers, and areas for improvement. They will apply critical thinking to develop strategies for increased performance metrics, offer technical assistance to Case Management teams, and respond to data and project management needs. Additional responsibilities include tracking critical operational, contractual, and statutory compliance, developing and overseeing tracking systems, and reviewing case records to support external monitoring preparations. The role also involves participating in monthly case monitoring activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
  • Two years of Child Welfare Case Management experience as well as data analysis/data management required.
  • Possess knowledge of Florida statutes, contract terms, data analysis, and performance standards.
  • Ability to analyze data and trends, apply that information to accepted standards, and create written reports and presentations.
  • Must be detail-oriented, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer experience in a Windows environment, Microsoft Office (Excel, WORD, POWERPOINT, Teams), ability to learn and utilize other software programs (such as FSFN and JJIS).
  • Ability to apply data tables to charts, trend reports, and other data analysis tracking systems.
  • Must demonstrate sensitivity to our service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics and needs.
  • Must maintain an appropriate and valid state driver’s license and meet state criminal background check requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in the areas of psychology, social work, or related human service field preferred.
  • A Florida Child Welfare Certification is preferred.
  • Experience working in Florida Safe Families Network (FSFN) Integrated Child Welfare Information System.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains effective mechanisms to promote timely problem identification and resolution to assure quality services are delivered in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Assure compliance regarding current federal, state, and local laws, contracts, accreditation standards, and policies and procedures.
  • Creates and produces performance and other data reports for senior leadership outlining outcomes for child welfare case management.
  • Conducts performance analysis and provides insight as to performance trends, barriers, and areas for improvement.
  • Apply critical thinking to create strategies and interventions resulting in measurable increased performance metrics.
  • Provide effective support and technical assistance to Case Management teams to meet performance and strategic objectives.
  • As requested, respond to the data and project management needs of the Executive Program Director, Quality Management Specialist, Program Director and Assistant Program Directors.
  • Miscellaneous tracking of critical operational, contractual, and statutory compliance such as Psychotropic Medication, Human Trafficking, and youth aging out of care.
  • Develop and oversee manual and automated tracking systems associated with operational and contract requirements in collaboration with other data management and technology services.
  • Review case records & provide technical assistance and support for the preparation and results of external monitorings (ie., CBC, Department of Children and Families, etc.), as required.
  • Participate in monthly case monitoring activities as prescribed by CBC.
  • Participate in training and development activities as required.
  • Must be willing to travel to other counties to participate in QA-related meetings, if needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Provide support to CMO team as well as the Quality Assurance Supervisor/Manager.
  • Team player with case management teams and their supervisors.
  • Accurate, complete and timely submission of data reports/assignments to Quality Assurance Supervisor, Assistant Program Directors, & Executive Program Director.
  • Organized, complete and accurate data and performance reports.
  • Effective working relationship with funders and external stakeholders.
  • Adherence to LSF personnel policies and procedures.
