Quality Assurance Specialist

SpeedXHouston, TX
$50,000 - $55,000Onsite

About The Position

SpeedX delivers reliable, tech-enabled last-mile solutions by expertly integrating our proprietary network with regional carriers. Our success is built on precision, scalability, and the quality of every single delivery. We are hiring a meticulous and resilient Quality Assurance/Control (QA/QC) Specialist to ensure that every parcel leaving our facilities meets SpeedX’s rigorous standards before it hits the last mile. We are looking for a dedicated QA/QC Specialist to be the frontline guardian of our service standards. This role requires a unique blend of floor presence, deep system investigation, and customer-facing communication. You will be the expert responsible for identifying, documenting, and resolving operational exceptions, ensuring data integrity from the physical sorting bin to the customer's receipt. This role operates at the intersection of the warehouse floor, our core systems, and customer service.

Requirements

  • Must be physically capable of standing and walking for extended periods (up to a full shift) on a warehouse floor environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail is non-negotiable, particularly when verifying small parcel details, tracking numbers, and addresses.
  • Proficiency in using basic computer hardware (scanners, tablets) and essential office software, including Microsoft Excel for basic data logging and reporting.
  • A strong willingness and ability to learn proprietary ERP/POS systems quickly through dedicated training.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degrees.
  • Prior experience working in a warehouse, fulfillment center, or parcel sortation environment.
  • Fluency in a second language (Bilingual in Chinese/Spanish) is a strong asset for internal team collaboration and customer support, though not required.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular, systematic checks on parcels on the sorting line, staging areas, and loading docks to ensure proper labeling, packaging integrity, and adherence to handling protocols.
  • Physically separate and isolate exception parcels (e.g., damaged, mis-sorted, incorrect documentation, weight discrepancies).
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with all established warehouse sorting and handling Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across various shifts.
  • Utilize ERP/POS systems to investigate the root cause of every physical exception found on the floor or reported via tracking.
  • Conduct detailed analysis on shipment failures, data entry errors, or sorting mistakes to pinpoint exactly where the process broke down.
  • Execute necessary corrections within core systems after physical verification, ensuring system records accurately reflect the final disposition of an exception parcel.
  • Serve as a direct point of contact for escalated customer inquiries specifically related to package exceptions (e.g., delayed status, missing information, failed delivery attempts).
  • Communicate complex operational issues to customers in a clear, empathetic, and professional manner, providing timely status updates and resolution timelines.
  • Systematically relay recurring customer communication issues back to Operations and Data teams to inform larger process improvements.
