Manages and owns the sample request process from initiation through completion and shipment. Serves as the primary owner of all sample requests, ensuring full end‑to‑end execution from sales request through customer delivery. Manages the inspection and release of incoming materials (color, resin, material, liners) and COA/COC process. Assures production PR packets are printed and completed on time. Supports product testing as needed for back-up (visual, functional, dimensional). Requirements

  • Reads and interprets Part Specification, Quality Plan and Blue Print.
  • Performs visual and functional inspections of product (Work-In-Process and Finished Goods).
  • Properly uses measuring equipment [Caliper, Micrometers, Torque meter, etc.].
  • Collects applicable information for product traceability.
  • Gathers applicable documents for package prior to start-up.
  • Approves labels for regular jobs and samples.
  • Supplies accurate data to Manufacturing department while troubleshooting.
  • Maintains records of job execution.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as the primary owner of all sample requests, ensuring full end‑to‑end execution from sales request through customer delivery.
  • Coordinates with Sales to clearly define scope, including part number, material blend (resin/liner), quantity, customer requirements, and ship‑to details.
  • Enters and tracks all sample requests within the internal system for visibility and cross‑functional alignment.
  • Leads bi‑weekly cross‑functional sample review meetings to align Production, Quality, and Materials on requirements, priorities, and timing based on the production schedule.
  • Reviews raw material inventory to confirm availability and initiates material orders as needed to support sample execution.
  • Organizes and stages all required materials in advance of production to ensure efficient and timely sample runs.
  • Oversees sample production on the floor, ensuring adherence to process requirements and that all product meets quality standards and specifications.
  • Verifies sample results, including dimensional, visual, and functional performance, to ensure compliance prior to release.
  • Maintains organized and complete documentation of all sample activity, including material usage, process conditions, inspection results, and traceability records.
  • Coordinates and executes shipment of samples, including use of FedEx or other carriers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Provides clear, timely communication to Sales throughout the process, including status updates, issue escalation, and shipment tracking information.
  • Proactively identifies risks, delays, or gaps in the process and drives resolution to ensure on‑time completion.
  • Manages the inspection and release of incoming materials (color, resin, material, liners) and COA/COC process.
  • Maintains all records (computer logs and paperwork).
  • Provides accurate, timely documents as needed by Shipping department and customer.
  • Reviews supplier COAs, inspects, and releases or rejects incoming raw materials.
  • Creates and supplies applicable part certificate to customer (COC, COA) and maintains records.
  • Communicates with vendors and customers as needed to assure accurate data/reports.
  • Assures all labels for each PR packet are printed and placed with the appropiate packet.
  • Review, close and file all PR packets form production.
  • Keep inventory of all the labels for production.
  • Support and maintain all policies of the company including but not limited to ISO/SQF Standards, Health and Safety Requirements, Continuous Improvement, and standard work procedures.
  • Supports product testing as needed for back-up (visual, functional, dimensional).
