Under the general direction of the Quality Leader, this role abstracts, analyzes, collates, reports, maintains, and presents information for outcomes for measured patient populations in support of clinical performance improvement activities and peer review. The position initiates clinical care quality improvement and performance monitoring in collaboration with department staff, leadership, and providers. It works with the Medical, Nursing, and Ancillary teams in the medical center and outpatient settings to improve patient care and remains an active member of applicable measure outcome committees. The primary responsibilities of this position include the review of patient mortalities, restraints, support of sepsis improvement team, and analysis of readmissions.
