About The Position

The Quality Manager – New Product Development (NPD) is responsible for ensuring quality is integrated throughout the product development and launch process. This role leads quality planning, risk management, validation, and launch readiness activities to ensure products meet customer requirements, industry standards, and internal quality objectives. Working closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Program Management, the Quality Manager drives product and process quality from concept through production launch.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Quality Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5–8 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience supporting new product development or product launches.
  • Working knowledge of FMEA, Control Plans, CAPA, MSA, PPAP, and ISO 9001.
  • Strong problem-solving, project management, and cross-functional leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure customer requirements are translated into measurable and traceable product and process quality requirements.
  • Lead and facilitate risk assessment activities, including DFMEA and PFMEA, and ensure effective mitigation plans are implemented.
  • Support design reviews, verification, validation, testing, and design change activities to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Define and monitor Critical-to-Quality (CTQ) characteristics and quality control strategies.
  • Partner with Supply Chain and Supplier Quality to qualify suppliers and establish appropriate quality controls.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing to develop and validate control plans, work instructions, inspection methods, and process capability requirements.
  • Ensure pilot builds and pre-production runs meet established quality standards and launch readiness criteria.
  • Lead the resolution of quality issues through nonconformance management, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Maintain compliance with ISO 9001 and applicable quality system requirements.
  • Establish and monitor key quality metrics and drive continuous improvement through lessons learned and best practices.
