About The Position

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Manager to help elevate our Manufacturing Division’s practices. This role will be central to quality within our busiest production areas, tasked with reinventing our Quality Management System (QMS). The manager will lead a small QA team and collaborate with managers, supervisors, and engineers to reduce tribalism and improve the comprehensive inspection of components, sub-assemblies, and finished products to ensure they meet high standards. This position will also assist in the development and implementation of process improvements throughout the plant, including leveraging a new MRP/ERP system expected to be invested in this year. The ideal candidate will possess manufacturing QA experience and the ability to translate that experience into tangible results, while also prioritizing culture and understanding the difference between leadership and management.

Requirements

  • Minimal of 5 years of experience in supervisory/management experience within manufacturing, with at least 3 years specifically in Quality.
  • Manufacturing experience includes finished goods (vs component creation).
  • Knowledgeable with ISO requirements.
  • Ability to train others how to read engineering prints and utilize applicable tools to evaluate for conformity.
  • Proven track record of Continuous Improvement.
  • Must be comfortable with Microsoft (Word, Excel, Outlook) programs and capable of learning other software systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in metal fabrication is a huge plus.
  • Teamwork, with a sense of humor, is preferred.
  • Eating, fried chicken preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Review, revise, and execute QMS throughout the Manufacturing Division.
  • Implement Control Plans within each production area.
  • Monitor product quality and reliability trends and implement initiatives for resolution.
  • Collaborate with other stakeholders in the company to develop process improvements for all quality-related aspects within the division.
  • Participate in NPI (New Product Introduction) efforts and take the lead in quality plan creation.
  • Provide ownership of the CAPA process.
  • Assist in the implementation and utilization of MRP/ERP systems throughout the division.
  • Solve puzzles.
