The Manager of Quality Assurance is responsible for formulating, documenting, implementing, and assuring quality program policies, plans, standards, and requirements, meeting the company’s defined quality objectives. Works independent, with minimum direction, reporting to the Global Director, Quality Assurance.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in a Science Field or Medical Technology
  • Minimum of 5 years of medical and/or laboratory experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of Quality Assurance experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of Supervisory/leadership experience
  • Prior experience with ISO 17025 regulations
  • Organized with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and deliver award winning client support solutions in a dynamic, high growth business.
  • A proven ability to lead, mentor direct reports, and remote teams to ensure professional development and performance.
  • Proven ability to translate creative ideas into strategic and business logic to all levels of the organization, from executives to front line employees.
  • Ability and willingness to be hands-on and dive into the detail to meet revenue, quality, and budgetary goals.
  • Proven experience in understanding the scalability of a growing business and implementing changes to improve service efficiency.
  • Adept with common industry performance indicators for quality assurance, technology trends and developments.
  • A solid understanding of data analytics to drive to find innovative ways to improve processes and services.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Quality Assurance department for North America.
  • Provides coaching and training to new and existing Quality Assurance associates in the areas of problem management/resolution, technical aspects of testing and instrumentation, quality assurance standards and practices, and other functions pertaining to the Quality Assurance Specialist, Quality Assurance Analyst and GLP Auditor roles.
  • Establish, review, trend and analyze KPI data to support continuous quality improvement.
  • Manage the internal audit and proficiency programs.
  • Design and conduct procedures to support development of new QA/QC protocols and revision of existing protocols.
  • Participate in the establishment and review of Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Prepare weekly management reports for department productivity and quality matrixes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Global Quality Assurance Director.
