About The Position

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Manager who embodies a proactive approach to quality, capable of identifying and resolving issues before they escalate. This role requires a leader who can foster a culture of accountability, consistently enforce procedures, and safeguard product integrity. The ideal candidate will have prior management experience, a talent for developing team members, and the confidence to uphold standards. This is a hands-on position, requiring daily presence on the production floor, close collaboration with production teams, leadership of a QA team of 8-10 specialists, and direct reporting to the Quality Director. The role is for an individual who takes pride in executing tasks correctly and can inspire the same commitment in their team.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Management role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record of leading and managing a team, with demonstrated ability to build accountability and develop people.
  • Strong working knowledge of cGMP standards and quality documentation practices.
  • Experience with production documentation systems, including fill records, component validation, and complaint management.
  • Highly organized, detail-obsessed, and comfortable enforcing standards.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to relay expectations clearly and escalate issues intelligently to leadership.

  • Personal care, cosmetics, or consumer goods manufacturing experience.
  • Familiarity with ISO 22716.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, coach, and hold accountable a team of 8-10 Quality Assurance Specialists, setting and ensuring the delivery of high QA standards.
  • Oversee all quality checks during the filling operation, including product weights, seals, cap tightness, label alignment, lot codes, shipper labeling, and palletization.
  • Uphold cGMP standards without exception, ensuring PPE compliance, proper documentation, and adherence to all SOPs.
  • Oversee Production Fill Records (PFRs), PFR reconciliations, and all QA documentation, ensuring they are audit-ready and organized.
  • Manage the validation and release of componentry, verify and receive labels into the MRP system, and ensure secure storage and tracking of labels.
  • Own the customer complaint response process from intake to resolution, including documentation, investigation, and internal stakeholder communication.
  • Ensure product retains are properly pulled, labeled, and inventoried according to procedures.
  • Manage proper pallet labeling for finished goods shipments and assist with verifying manifests before product departure.
  • Identify gaps in quality gateways and develop improved processes to proactively catch problems.
