About The Position

The Manager, Quality Assurance is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the organization's quality assurance and quality control programs to ensure conformance with internal processes, customer requirements, and applicable quality standards (including ISO and IATF 16949). This role analyzes business situations, production capabilities, and product development initiatives; gathers and evaluates information regarding supplier and vendor quality standards; and collaborates with senior management to develop and implement company quality policies, procedures, and goals. The manager also leads internal and external audits, identifies opportunities for improvement, and supervises quality assurance personnel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, Industrial & Systems Engineering, or a related field, or foreign equivalent.
  • 3 years of experience in the job offered or related position.
  • Experience analyzing business and production data.
  • Experience supervising employees.
  • Implementation and working experience with IATF and ISO QMS systems.
  • Specific knowledge related to the production of magnet wire, enamels, and all processes relating.

Responsibilities

  • Implements and coordinates the organization's process and quality management system to ensure ongoing conformance with established standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyzes and presents data and information concerning business operations, production capabilities, and product development activities.
  • Collects, reviews, and evaluates information related to supplier quality performance and vendor quality standards.
  • Supervises hourly process controllers and salaried quality engineers by performing the full range of supervisory duties, including hiring, training, planning and assigning work, conducting performance appraisals, and administering discipline as appropriate.
  • Coordinates and leads internal audits as well as external ISO and IATF 16949 audits; recommends corrective and preventive actions; and works with top management to establish and achieve quality-related company policies and objectives.
  • Travel required 0-5% of the year (domestic).
