This role involves collecting samples and performing physical and microbiological analytical sampling and testing of raw ingredients, packaging materials, and finished goods dairy food products in accordance with established guidelines. The technician will identify and communicate out-of-specification results, maintain QC records, prepare stock solutions, calibrate and maintain lab equipment, and perform environmental control swabbing. The position also requires knowledge of consumer complaint investigations, support for internal/external audits and recall programs, preparation of production records, and distribution of customer certificates of analysis. Proficiency with all quality control functions, adherence to state regulatory licensing/certificate requirements, good laboratory housekeeping, compliance with Quality Assurance Procedures (QAP’s) and federal, state, and local dairy food regulations are essential. The role also emphasizes adherence to the Saputo Code of Ethics and Company Values, and professional collaboration with co-workers and other departments.
