Hours for this position are primarily 2nd or 3rd shift, and will require filling in for vacation relief on all shifts as needed.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age
Must work in a team environment
Maintain adherence to work hours scheduled specifically starting, ending, lunch and break schedules
Perform all duties within established Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) regulations and safety guidelines
Be accountable to the Turkey Hill Food Safety and Quality Principles
Perform all other duties as assigned

Nice To Haves

One (1) year laboratory experience is preferred
One (1) year of food manufacturing experience is preferred

Responsibilities

Conduct food safety and quality checks, including sensory, for finished products, work-in-progress, and ingredients to meet specifications.
Follow established protocol for out of specification results.
Work with and assist production departments to maintain the quality of our products.
Maintain proper documentation of lab test results in lab data management system and on necessary paperwork, as required.
Monitor the calibration of lab equipment as required.
Obtain samples using proper aseptic methods.
Review and evaluate Operations and QA documentation for accuracy and completion.
Perform all duties within established Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and personal safety guidelines.
Responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the Safe Quality Foods (SQF) Food Safety & Quality.
Complete laboratory sanitation as needed.
Review and evaluate the end of shelf-life samples.
Ability to operate Microsoft Office.
Demonstrate the ability to engage work in department and cross-functional teams to define and implement process improvements that provide value to the customer.
