Hours for this position are primarily 2nd or 3rd shift, and will require filling in for vacation relief on all shifts as needed.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must work in a team environment
  • Maintain adherence to work hours scheduled specifically starting, ending, lunch and break schedules
  • Perform all duties within established Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) regulations and safety guidelines
  • Be accountable to the Turkey Hill Food Safety and Quality Principles
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) year laboratory experience is preferred
  • One (1) year of food manufacturing experience is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Conduct food safety and quality checks, including sensory, for finished products, work-in-progress, and ingredients to meet specifications.
  • Follow established protocol for out of specification results.
  • Work with and assist production departments to maintain the quality of our products.
  • Maintain proper documentation of lab test results in lab data management system and on necessary paperwork, as required.
  • Monitor the calibration of lab equipment as required.
  • Obtain samples using proper aseptic methods.
  • Review and evaluate Operations and QA documentation for accuracy and completion.
  • Perform all duties within established Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and personal safety guidelines.
  • Responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the Safe Quality Foods (SQF) Food Safety & Quality.
  • Complete laboratory sanitation as needed.
  • Review and evaluate the end of shelf-life samples.
  • Ability to operate Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrate the ability to engage work in department and cross-functional teams to define and implement process improvements that provide value to the customer.
