About The Position

Harmony Castings is seeking a Quality Assurance Intern for the summer of 2026. This role will involve assisting Quality Leads with various tasks to ensure quality standards are met. The internship offers a great company culture, a weekly meal allowance, and participation in company events.

Requirements

Students majoring in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields having completed their sophomore year by the end of the spring semester.
At least four semesters completed will be considered.
Must be proficient in MS Office.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to work independently and as a valuable team member.
Ability to gather and analyze data.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with Industry 4.0 concepts and aluminum castings concepts, practices and procedures preferred.
High degree of interest in manufacturing engineering, quality, or operations desired.

Responsibilities

Assist the Quality Leads with disposition of castings, auditing process procedures, documentation, and in-process controls to ensure quality standards are met.
Perform testing such as pulling test bars, chemical samples on the spectrometer, sieve sand tests and accurately entering data for scrap materials to support process improvement.
Support customer services issues related to RMAs, working with customers to identify root cause of defects, and collaborating with vendors to resolve castings problems and rework parts as necessary to maintain production flow.
