About The Position

Omega Flex is seeking two Quality Assurance Inspectors for its West Chester, PA facility. These are new positions created due to growth in the Engineering Department. Training may occur at the Exton, PA plant for several weeks. The role involves inspecting, measuring, and assessing the quality of manufactured and assembled goods to ensure they meet drawing specifications, customer requirements, and manufacturing standards.

Requirements

  • Proficient in written and verbal English.
  • Able to read, analyze and interpret customer blueprints.
  • Strong shop math skills.
  • Ability to interpret SPC upper and lower control charts.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of manufacturing process.
  • Good communication skills with all levels of organization.
  • Strong knowledge of all inspection equipment and processes.
  • Ability to make judgment on the quality of the manufactured product and draw valid conclusions.
  • Basic knowledge of Spreadsheet, Word Processing and Calibration software required.
  • Employee is required to stand, walk or sit for prolonged periods (up to 4 hours).
  • Must be able to use close and distance vision, hear, feel, and reach with hands or arms.
  • Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Safety glasses are required to be worn at all times while working.
  • Work areas must be kept clean and safe.

Nice To Haves

  • 2-4 year technology degree
  • Four to ten years' related experience and/or training in manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

  • Conduct first piece, in-process, and final inspections to ensure conformance to drawing specifications, customer requirements, and manufacturing specifications.
  • Establish inspection criteria and determine inspection methods.
  • Calibrate, adjust, set, and maintain inspection equipment as required.
  • Complete various inspection reports and communicate with appropriate recipients.
  • Schedule inspection workload.
  • Train inspectors and operators on various types of inspection equipment.
  • Substitute known values, such as dimensions from blueprints, into standard formulas and solve for unknown quantities.
  • Use statistical process control techniques.
  • Inspect manufacturing tooling as required.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.
