The Quality Assurance Expert acts as an advisor for all activities related to the manufacturing and assembly of aircraft, including our business partners. As such, they will be called upon to analyze the issues raised in light of the applicable requirements and identify appropriate actions to resolve them permanently and cost-effectively.

Requirements

  • Diploma in aerospace studies or any other relevant diploma for the position
  • 10 years of experience in quality assurance in the aerospace industry
  • May be required to support operational needs on weekends
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and Power BI tools
  • Ability to analyze and anticipate the consequences of quality issues
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work as part of a team with partners
  • Ability to establish interpersonal relationships conducive to collaboration
  • Effective communication skills (verbal/written)
  • Functional knowledge in French is required.
  • Functional knowledge in English is required for this position, as it involves communication in English with Bell teams outside of Quebec and/or its suppliers, partners, and clients outside of Quebec.
  • Any other combination of schooling and experience deemed equivalent may be considered.

  • Proficiency in SAP and CAMS systems desirable

Responsibilities

  • Interprets applicable requirements in relation to issues raised by our clients (internal and external) and business partners (TIM, Piney-Flats, etc.).
  • Initiates appropriate actions considering the cause of the problem, the value, and the availability of equipment.
  • Determines the need, initiates, documents, and follows up on confinements (stock purge, SIR, etc.) involving the appropriate groups.
  • Communicates actions to interested parties.
  • Promotes company policies, procedures, and quality requirements, including the FOD program.
  • Monitors quality performance and identifies required actions for improvement and cost reduction.
  • Works in collaboration with interested parties (production, support groups, flight safety officer, etc.).
  • Evaluates, initiates rejection, and manages the disposition of non-conforming material in the most cost-effective manner, considering production schedules and costs incurred.
  • Completes any other related tasks requested by their manager.
