About the position
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to support Alert Innovation's Quality Management System (QMS) and assist with documentation control, nonconforming material processes, and corrective action. The role involves monitoring the effectiveness of the quality assurance process, directing nonconforming material events to the appropriate stakeholders, and working with cross-functional teams to identify and implement corrective actions. Additionally, the Quality Assurance Engineer will lead Material Review Board meetings, support quality assurance training programs, and assist with changes related to quality events in documentation control. This position requires at least 2 years of professional experience and familiarity with Quality Management Systems and ISO-9001 or similar quality system regulations.
Responsibilities
- Support and monitor the effectiveness of the Quality Assurance process
- Drive continuous improvement within the Quality Assurance process
- Direct Nonconforming Material events to the appropriate Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and stakeholders
- Work with cross-functional teams to assess risks and implement corrective actions
- Monitor the status of Nonconforming Material Reports (NCRs) and assist in their swift and effective closure
- Lead Material Review Board meetings and make disposition decisions
- Support Quality Assurance training programs
- Support Documentation Control with changes related to Quality Events
- Have 2+ years of professional experience
- Have experience with Quality Management Systems
- Have experience working within ISO-9001 or similar quality system regulation
- Have a strong interest in learning new systems and technologies
- Have experience working with Documentation Control and Employee Training Programs
- Have experience with Engineering Change Controls and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software
- Hold a B.S. in Engineering or a similar field
