Hardware Support Engineer III (Nebraska)

The Hardware Support Engineer (HSE) at Alert Innovation, powered by Walmart, is responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting for the Alphabot Systems. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to provide remote and on-site support. The HSE will work closely with various teams to ensure the successful deployment and reliable operations of the Micro Fulfillment Centers. The ideal candidate will have strong electromechanical aptitude, excellent communication skills, and a customer-focused mindset. They will also be responsible for developing regional strategies, implementing maintenance plans, and collecting feedback for continuous improvement.

• Act as the primary point of contact for hardware issues at sites in the region
• Work with Hardware Performance and Product Engineering teams to identify and escalate issues impacting Operations and Facilities Management teams
• Ensure maintenance compliance of all assets in the region
• Manage and recommend changes to the maintenance plan
• Assist sites with implementing best practices
• Provide on-site support to System Operators and Maintenance techs
• Develop a regional strategy and execution plan to support Operations and Facilities Maintenance teams
• Participate in resolving technical inquiries, site issues, and escalations
• Recommend and implement changes to maintenance plans
• Conduct periodic audits to ensure Hardware Maintenance compliance
• Manage hardware upgrades, rework, and return material logistics
• Identify and remove process bottlenecks in collaboration with Site Operations, Alert Support, and Engineering teams
• Work with Alert support teams to resolve complex technical inquiries and escalations
• Act as a Trainer for System Operators and Maintenance Techs as needed
• Collect and analyze hardware quality issues and trends
• Collect voice of the customer feedback for continuous improvements
• Lift and move tools weighing up to 50 pounds
• Engage in full manual dexterity
• Perform bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching
• Climb ladders and gangways safely
• Work in all environments (Ambient, Chilled, and Frozen) using approved PPE
• Be on-call, including holidays and weekends
• Have flexibility with work hours and days
• Be dedicated to supporting production in a safe and customer-focused manner
• Be highly self-motivated and customer-centric
• Travel domestically up to 30% of the time.
