QUAC-Quality Assurance Coordinator
About The Position
Lifemark Health Group is seeking a healthcare professional to work as a Quality Assurance Coordinator. This is a remote position with potential for in-person meetings as needed. This is an opportunity to be a member of an exciting and truly interdisciplinary care network, supporting the assessment and treatment of Canadians with diverse rehabilitation needs. Lifemark Health Group – Long Term Disability and Rehabilitation division provides interdisciplinary care and expertise to various Insurance companies in partnership with employer plan sponsors across Canada though our over 300 clinic locations. We are actively recruiting a dynamic individual to join our clinical quality assurance team who are responsible for facilitating exceptional written communication and service to our customers. This role is pivotal in supporting best practices with clinical team members to achieve highest quality rehabilitation care for our participants.
Requirements
- Superior verbal and written communication skills are required, framed with a solid knowledge and appreciation for the requirements of regulated health professionals servicing third party funders.
- Rely on your healthcare background to contribute to clinical team to succeed within the program guidelines.
- Passion for supporting the delivery of high quality services, accomplished through ensuring all written communication to customers reflects professional, well-documented recommendations and outcomes, supported by clinical findings.
- Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail, analytical in your thinking, and possess exceptional leadership and problem-solving skills.
- 2+ years of experience in the rehabilitation or insurance industry.
- Solid working knowledge of Office suite, EMR and ability to learn and navigate new systems.
- Demonstrated problem solving capabilities & written and verbal communication.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to maintain customer relationships with client companies, patients and internal stakeholders.
- Possess exceptional organizational skills, a strong work ethic, the ability to take initiative.
- Ability to prioritize to achieve program service standards.
- High level of confidentiality and awareness of privacy requirements.
Nice To Haves
- University degree in a relevant health care domain preferred.
- Clinical/rehabilitation experience delivery interdisciplinary care, conducting FCEs, clinical physical medicine or mental health evaluations considered an asset.
- Bilingual (French/English) is considered a strong asset.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring the day-to-day quality review of rehabilitation reports as well as supporting the Clinical Service Managers, as needed and appropriate.
- Timely review of clinical reports and forms for quality, continuity, consistency and clinical outcome within scope of program.
- Ensuring reports are consistent with legislative requirements and customer standards.
- Liaise with clinicians to discuss reports, provide guidance and feedback as required.
- Timely completion of administrative tasks within web-based systems to allow for tracking and ultimately submission of quality reporting.
- Communicate with program teams on relationship management, clinical triage, as applicable.
- Assist clinical staff on formulation of recommendations, delivery of program standards.
- Maintain accurate records utilizing web-based tracking systems to monitor key performance indicators.
- Administration and organization of clinical quality assurance activities agreed upon by leadership including identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Review performance KPIs on a regular basis to ensure team is delivering on SLAs as required.
- Effectively manage workflow to achieve the overall responsibilities of the role, including assisting with onboarding, development, providing regular performance feedback, issue resolution, continuous improvement.
- Maintain strong collaborative working relationships with LTD team members.
- Contribute to the development, coordination and distribution of materials, resources, training or educational seminars as required in line with contract quality requirements.
