About The Position

STAR, Inc. is seeking a knowledgeable and organized Quality Assurance Coordinator to oversee quality and compliance efforts throughout its Residential Services programs. This role is crucial for developing, maintaining, and monitoring processes that ensure group homes and apartments comply with state and federal regulations. The Quality Assurance Coordinator acts as a key resource for Residential Services and a liaison between STAR, Inc. and regulatory agencies. This position is responsible for preparing for regulatory reviews, maintaining policies and procedures, addressing safety-related matters, submitting required documentation, and monitoring compliance with established standards. In collaboration with the Residential Director and group home managers, the QA Coordinator will ensure that STAR's residential programs and properties meet the requirements of the Connecticut Department of Developmental Services (DDS) and other relevant regulatory bodies. The role emphasizes promoting consistency and accountability within Residential Services and supporting direct-care staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Previous supervisory experience in a residential or related human services setting
