This classification is scheduled to receive a 5% COLA effective July 2027. The Quality Assurance Coordinator oversees several complex health care initiatives at Behavioral Health, providing oversight to auditing, monitoring, and coordination of our mental health and substance use services. They provide supervision and oversight to administrative analyst, conduct trainings, advise on policy development, and support program managers and leadership staff with implementation and adherence to federal, state, and county regulations. The Quality Assurance Coordinator also provides recommendations to Executive Leadership and the Director and represents the county in state level meetings and committees. The eligibility list created from this recruitment will be used to fill regular help vacancies, as well as extra help. Extra Help means this may be a Part-Time or Non-Permanent position. The number of hours worked per week may vary and depend on the needs of the department. FLSA: Exempt DEFINITION Under direction, administers quality assurance programs for Medi-Cal and behavioral health treatment services to County residents. SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED Receives direction from supervisory or management staff. Exercises direct supervision over professional staff. CLASS CHARACTERISTICS This classification is responsible for independently performing professional duties in support of quality assurance programs for behavioral health treatment services in the County; incumbents have responsibility for independently coordinating one or more programs or projects on a regular basis. Positions at this level exercise judgment and initiative in their assigned tasks, receive only occasional instruction or assistance as new or unusual situations arise and are fully aware of the operating procedures and policies of the work unit.
