About The Position

EPIC Health is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance, Compliance & Audit Manager to oversee quality programs, regulatory compliance, accreditation readiness, and operational audits across our laboratory and radiology services. This role is responsible for ensuring diagnostic services consistently meet the highest standards of quality, patient safety, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate combines strong knowledge of laboratory and imaging regulations with a passion for continuous improvement, process optimization, and audit readiness. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Clinical Laboratory Science, Radiologic Technology, Nursing, Public Health, Quality Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in healthcare quality, compliance, auditing, laboratory operations, radiology operations, or related healthcare environments.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements and quality management principles.
  • Experience conducting audits, investigations, and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in laboratory and/or diagnostic imaging environments.
  • Knowledge of CLIA, CAP, ACR, OSHA, HIPAA, and other applicable healthcare regulations.
  • Certification in Healthcare Quality, Compliance, Laboratory, Radiology, or related field preferred.
  • Experience supporting accreditation surveys and regulatory inspections.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or process improvement experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance programs for laboratory and radiology operations.
  • Monitor quality indicators, performance metrics, and patient safety measures.
  • Identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement through data analysis and auditing.
  • Lead corrective action plans and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Support a culture of continuous quality improvement across all diagnostic locations.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and accreditation requirements.
  • Maintain readiness for inspections and surveys from regulatory and accrediting organizations.
  • Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and implement necessary operational updates.
  • Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and quality documentation.
  • Conduct routine operational, clinical, documentation, and compliance audits.
  • Perform chart reviews and quality assessments to ensure adherence to organizational standards.
  • Investigate quality events, incidents, and compliance concerns.
  • Track audit findings and oversee corrective action implementation.
  • Provide leadership with regular audit reports and compliance updates.
  • Partner with laboratory and radiology leadership to standardize quality practices across all locations.
  • Review imaging and laboratory workflows for compliance, efficiency, and quality outcomes.
  • Monitor equipment quality control processes and maintenance documentation.
  • Support accreditation and certification activities for laboratory and imaging departments.
  • Provide ongoing education and guidance related to quality standards, compliance requirements, and audit findings.
  • Assist with staff training, competency assessments, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Promote best practices in patient safety, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
