Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification.
  • Minimum 2 years of Part 121 aviation maintenance experience.
  • Must possess a valid passport.
  • Ability to speak/read/write in English.
  • If hired, must be able to demonstrate that you are authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • C.A.S.E. Level III Certified Auditor rating.
  • Experience with IOSA.
  • Maintenix and/or Intelex software experience.
  • College degree.
  • Knowledge of Human Factors Analysis and Classification System (HFACS).
  • At least two years previous auditing experience.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct audits on behalf of the QA program to accomplish the audit function of the Continuing Analysis and Surveillance (CASS) program per 14 CFR 121.373, including internal and external maintenance, vendors, and meeting FAA 121.373 CASS program auditing functions.
  • Interact with company leadership, vendors, FAA, IOSA Auditors, and other Regulatory authorities.
  • Audit the effectiveness of the entire Maintenance Program, related processes, and procedures.
  • Accomplish the audit function of the Continuing Analysis and Surveillance System (CASS) per 14 CFR 121.373 in direct support of the Supervisor of Maintenance Quality Assurance and the Safety Department.
  • Collaborate with the team of Quality Assurance Auditors in the planning, customization, execution, documentation, and analysis of aircraft maintenance audits.
  • Perform initial qualifying and recurrent onsite audits of PSA maintenance bases, Contracted Maintenance Providers, Essential Maintenance Providers, Non-Essential Maintenance Providers, component repair agencies, de-ice providers, and fuel vendors on a risk-based interval.
  • Audit processes to ensure AD compliance is maintained on all Company aircraft.
  • Review audits, author corrective action requests, and disseminate them to appropriate leadership personnel.
  • Address all audit findings through verbal and written communication to initiate action.
  • Ensure key Company management personnel are aware of all potentially serious issues.
  • Utilize and be proficient with company software (Intelex, Maintenix, and PLOT) to manage audits, audit findings, corrective action, safety risk management, and root cause analysis.
  • Become knowledgeable of PSA systems, processes, activities, and review historical audit performance to best determine audit frequency.
  • Track and follow up on corrective action requests within set time parameters.
  • Maintain a risk-based audit schedule.
  • Track/trend audit data and prepare reports and data analysis to the CASS board when statistical data or other avenues of detection indicate an adverse trend.
  • Participate in the continuous development of audit checklists based on findings and execute audits in a manner that leads to the greatest degree of compliance, improvement, and safety.
  • Complete initial and recurrent auditor training necessary to effectively conduct audits.
  • Respond to special audit requests from senior management.
  • Facilitate the process of addressing findings from audits, which ensures identification of root cause, developing corrective actions, and an evaluation of corrective actions to determine effectiveness.
  • Communicate and coordinate with system, process, and function owners to ensure that hazards identified during audits are mitigated.
  • Ensure follow-up audits or evaluations are completed as required.
  • Ensure compliance levels are accurately documented and reported.
  • Report unresolved instances of inadequate corrective action/responses to the Supervisor of Quality Assurance.
  • Interact in a professional manner with regulatory authorities, maintenance vendors, customers, and company personnel.
  • Prepare the QA portion of the CASS report to be presented at the CASS board meeting.
  • Foster an environment in which safety and compliance is everyone's concern.
  • Responsible for the Company's Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
