About The Position

Under the supervision of the Senior Quality Assurance Manager, the Quality Assurance Associate implements and maintains programs ensuring Nutrition and Natural Health Products comply with all regulatory, corporate, and divisional requirements. This is a full-time, temporary position, based at Abbott Nutrition’s Montreal Head Office, working day shift.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science
  • 2–3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of warehouse and manufacturing best practices
  • Sense of urgency and ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • High integrity
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and French

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in QA/QC within nutrition, natural health product manufacturing, or laboratory environments preferred

Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain the effectiveness of the quality system.
  • Manage deliverables associated with exceptions and ensure timeliness objectives are met.
  • Provide compliant solutions to problems of moderate scope and complexity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reach consensus on quality issues and rework products.
  • Work under general direction while organizing work independently.
  • Ensure compliance with the quality policy and related company, division, and subsidiary procedures.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local standards governing nutrition and natural health products in the Canadian market.
  • Support the coordination of the subsidiary's CAPA program, including supplier-related non-conformities (contract manufacturers, 3PL suppliers, carriers).
  • Support supplier management, training, and product stability programs.
  • Support regulatory audits and maintenance of establishment licenses.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Provide required information to support changes (reasons and justifications).
  • Ensure documentation compliance under supervision.
  • Manage daily product disposition operations, including product release, returns evaluation, holds, and destruction orders.
  • Coordinate sampling and testing.
  • Request supporting documents from suppliers.
  • Authorize product release, quarantine, or destruction.
  • Record and manage local complaints (quality and medical) within required deadlines.
  • Support QA management during critical investigations and product recalls.
  • Ensure compliance with Good Distribution and Documentation Practices in collaboration with Distribution Centers and Third-Party Manufacturers.
  • Verify daily compliance of QA-related departments, including training completion.
  • Act as backup for QA Compliance and QA Program leadership roles.
