About The Position

Join the Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) team, where you'll contribute to groundbreaking innovations! We are seeking applicants for a Quality Assurance Assistant to join our Engineering and Operations Department. SDL is seeking an enrolled student to assist with calibration of certain tools and equipment. Additional tasks may include ensuring documentation accuracy, supporting data entry, verifying calibrated items, and assisting in other activities as needed in the QA department. SDL delivers advanced multi-domain solutions to protect national security and enable scientific discovery. Our expertise in satellites, sensors and instruments, ground systems and data processing, and autonomous systems plays a critical role in missions supporting NASA and the Department of Defense. Requirements

  • Currently enrolled at Utah State University with at least one full year of schooling left
  • Able to work 15-20 hours per week (between the hours of 8:00am-5:00pm) during spring and fall semesters and up to 40 hours during school breaks
  • High attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Problem solving
  • Computer skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Professional verbal and written communications skills
  • Effective planning and organizational skills
  • Able to work with a high degree of accuracy and recall
  • Must be a U.S. citizen

Nice To Haves

  • Pursuing a degree related to business, management information systems, technical writing, or another related field
  • Previous related work experience
  • Typing and editing skills

Responsibilities

  • Assist with calibration of certain tools and equipment.
