About The Position

Designs and drives enterprise-wide test automation strategies, frameworks, and standards to improve software quality, speed, and reliability. Leads adoption of automation, AI-driven testing, CI/CD integration, and quality engineering best practices across teams. Builds reusable automation platforms, tools, and utilities while mentoring engineers and architects on modern testing approaches. Partners with engineering, product, and leadership teams to enable scalable, efficient, and high-quality software delivery. Responsible for development and support of processes, practices and tools necessary to produce quality products/services and to manage risk. Researches and recommends hardware and software purchases for software quality assurance program. Selects and implements formal QA methodologies. Architects and implements agile testing practices and tools. Evaluates, recommends and implements enterprise-wide defect-tracking software. Assists in planning and estimation of Quality Assurance support for new programs and projects. Conducts audits and reviews. Supports Quality Assurance specialists on programs or projects. Conducts program reviews and complex process audits.

Requirements

  • University / college degree, with 5+ years of industry-relevant experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.
  • Customer Focused - Knowledgeable of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and able to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
  • Managing Risk - Assessing and effectively managing all of the risks associated with their business objectives and activities to ensure they adhere to and support PNC's Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
