About The Position

Linxon, a joint venture between AtkinsRéalis and Hitachi Energy, is seeking a Quality Assurance and Control Engineer for its Energy and Infrastructure projects in Phoenix, AZ. This role is crucial for ensuring excellence in EPC projects, including Battery Energy Storage Systems and substation facilities. The engineer will be responsible for upholding integrity, reliability, and compliance of engineered equipment installations by implementing rigorous quality standards throughout project lifecycles. This involves developing and enhancing quality management plans, defining quality activities, and aligning quality assurance strategies with project objectives and client expectations to ensure seamless delivery and stakeholder confidence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in quality assurance and control within construction, engineering, or the energy sector, particularly in energy infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards and quality management systems.
  • Experience with engineered equipment manufacturing and installation processes relevant to EPC projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify risks and implement effective solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute inspection and test plans (ITPs) for structured oversight and control throughout each stage of the installation process.
  • Coordinate and monitor daily inspection activities, ensuring all work meets contractual, technical, and quality requirements.
  • Collaborate with project teams and clients to ensure adherence to standards.
  • Proactively intervene when quality risks arise, implementing corrective actions and escalating issues.
  • Ensure all inspection processes comply with applicable industry standards, including ISO 9001, IEEE, NEC, and ASTM.
  • Conduct detailed site inspections and audits to verify compliance with Linxon standards, client expectations, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage non-conformances through to resolution, driving corrective actions to strengthen quality performance and prevent recurrence.
  • Provide guidance to project teams on quality deliverables such as PQPs, ITPs, and supporting documentation.
  • Maintain accurate, thorough, and audit-ready quality records, including inspection reports, test results, and non-conformance documentation.
  • Generate clear and timely quality reports for stakeholders, providing insights into project performance and risk areas.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance processes, improve efficiency, and elevate quality standards across EPC energy projects.
  • Lead root cause analyses to uncover underlying issues and implement sustainable corrective actions for continuous improvement.
  • Deliver training and mentorship to project teams to strengthen quality awareness and foster accountability.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve quality challenges, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standards.
