About The Position

The Maryland Department of Human Services (DHS) is seeking a Quality Assurance and Compliance Coordinator to join the Quality Assurance and Compliance Division (QACD) in Prince George's County. This role is crucial for ensuring the effective and efficient operation of Agency programs by conducting quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) reviews, monitoring, and reporting. The coordinator will ensure programs adhere to local, state, and federal policies and requirements, monitor program viability, compliance with mandates, and quality customer service. Additionally, the position provides technical assistance to improve service delivery and performance outcomes within the Child, Adult and Family Services Division, and is involved in the planning and implementation of new or revised programs, procedures, practices, and processes.

Requirements

  • Seven years of experience, three years of experience in the administration of a human services program or experience conducting studies and analyses of programs, procedures, practices and organizations and an additional four years of professional or technical experience in the administration of a human services program or experience conducting studies and analyses of programs, procedures, practices and organizations.
  • Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and three years of experience in the administration of a human services program or experience conducting studies and analyses of programs, procedures, practices and organizations for the required experience.
  • Candidates may substitute graduate level education at an accredited college or university in a human services related field at the rate of 30 credit hours per year for up to six years of the required experience.
  • Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military experience as a commissioned officer in Administrative Officer classifications or Administrative Officer specialty codes in the General, Administrative, Clerical and Office Services field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.

Responsibilities

  • Submits final reports and evaluations and monitors a variety of system improvement activities to ensure quality services are delivered and performance improvement interventions are in accordance with Federal, State, County, Agency, and other applicable policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Coordinate activities for special projects and assist with documentation, development and implementation of procedures to ensure effective and efficient operations in accordance with Federal, State, County, Agency, and other applicable policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Assists with developing and modifying guidelines, rules, policies, standards, controls, and monitoring tools for implementing the QACD integrity and accountability model within PGCDSS in accordance with Federal, State, County, Agency, and other applicable policies, procedures and guidelines.
