About The Position

The Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for testing rate modules and reviewing benefit input for accuracy. This role involves developing new test plans and test cases for rate modules and components, as well as following existing test cases. The position is a temporary, full-time assignment of up to 4 months, with typical hours of 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, and possible overtime. This role may start as a hybrid position but could transition to remote before the end of the assignment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • At least two (2) years’ experience in processing and quoting new business health insurance.
  • Previous experience with Group Health Insurance rate auditing, data comparison and report verification.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
  • Communicate with all levels of internal personnel, both verbally and in writing.
  • Research, analyze, comprehend and interpret moderately complex financial spreadsheets and documents.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships.
  • Determine when issues need to be escalated to a higher level.
  • Work independently.
  • Work in and contribute to a positive team environment.
  • Manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes optimal review methods for auditing plan and rate data to verify and measure accuracy within the rate modules.
  • Executes multiple testing scenarios to determine the exactness of our rate module as it compares to our carrier partners rating tools.
  • Reviews and compares large amounts of financial rate data to determine that accurate reporting outputs are being produced.
  • Monitors continual updates and changes to all rating applications and makes necessary updates to any QA documentation used in ongoing testing.
  • Tracks and maintains discrepancy and error resolution reports.
  • Testing of new system enhancements for functionality and debugging purposes.
  • Occasional long, irregular hours.
  • Physical requirements include sitting, frequently speaking and hearing, and occasionally standing, walking, bending, crawling, kneeling and the ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
