About The Position

The Quality Assurance Analyst will be responsible for reviewing and auditing investor loan packages and processes to ensure compliance with investor standards, internal policies and quality benchmarks. This role will assist the AVP, Fulfillment Quality in all related TPR activities. Ultimately, this will further improve / underline company optics as a strong loan originator / seller and will be crucial in Renovo’s internal efforts to maximize capital strategies (including, but not limited to, securitization).

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality assurance or auditing in the mortgage lending industry
  • In-depth knowledge of business purpose lending including real estate documents and loan processes
  • Prior experience in identifying operational inefficiencies and recommending solutions
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing loan files and documents
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends, patterns and areas for improvement
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with team members. This requires the ability to be persistent, concise and non-confrontational when reviewing other’s work
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to issue resolution
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) with advanced excel experience preferred
  • Knowledge of mortgage software tools, such as Salesforce

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, or a related field (preferred) or equivalent experience in mortgage lending or quality assurance

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of loan files throughout the life of the loan, including applications, credit reports, underwriting and closing documents to ensure they meet company and investor standards
  • Document any discrepancies found during audits and communicate findings to relevant departments to resolve issues
  • Review and recognize the different TPR requirements for each investor that Renovo lends with
  • Upload Final Investor packages to the TPR portal within 5 business days of closing date
  • Assist AVP, Fulfillment Quality with monthly quality performance reviews for POD members
  • Coordinate with Renovo’s external third-party vendors (AMC) on a weekly or bi-weekly basis to discuss exception pool statuses
  • Maintain exception clearing frequency in line with the weekly trade process
  • Respond/Upload documents to remedy exception items in TPR portal
  • Daily Data exports to sort/monitor existing and new exceptions
  • Distribute outstanding exception lists to responsible production team members
  • Maintain consistent contact & regular follow-up with production team members over outstanding exceptions
  • Clear any / all ancillary exception items possible without team member involvement
