About The Position

The Quality Assurance Analyst II is responsible for applying Quality Assurance (QA) and Release Management methodologies to test application changes, updates, and enhancements. This role collaborates with Clinical, Revenue Cycle, Technical Leaders, Project Managers, and Analysts to ensure the quality, reliability, and successful deployment of information systems applications. The position develops, evaluates, revises, and documents QA processes, testing methodologies, and test plans. Additionally, the analyst supports release management activities by developing, auditing, monitoring, and enforcing established processes and policies to ensure cross-domain configuration integration, testing completeness, and consistency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field; OR Four (4) years of related IT or operational experience in a healthcare environment.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of progressive healthcare experience.
  • Demonstrated experience managing QA efforts for large, enterprise-wide software implementations.
  • Experience with application testing, regression testing, and release management processes preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Epic Application Certification or Epic Proficiency.
  • Experience working with integrated healthcare information systems.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, evaluate, revise, implement, and document QA processes, methods, and test plans.
  • Conduct integrated, regression, and application testing for updates, upgrades, enhancements, and third-party applications.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve testing efficiency through a strong understanding of impacted workflows.
  • Manage medium-complexity QA processes and evaluate the need for new or updated test scripts.
  • Perform QA process analysis, test script modifications, gap analysis, and provide recommendations for process improvements.
  • Troubleshoot testing issues independently and resolve problems with minimal direction.
  • Support and enforce release management processes and policies.
  • Ensure configuration integration, testing completeness, and consistency across domains.
  • Monitor release activities and identify potential risks or issues.
  • Escalate concerns when timelines are at risk or vendor action is insufficient.
  • Collaborate effectively across project teams and organizational boundaries.
  • Serve as a central point of contact for assigned QA processes.
  • Communicate testing status, risks, issues, and recommendations clearly to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Represent stakeholder needs and expectations during complex system updates and enhancements.
  • Work directly with external vendors to coordinate issue resolution and project activities.
  • Demonstrate subject matter expertise in QA methodologies and healthcare workflows.
  • Mentor and guide newer team members on QA processes, tools, and resources.
  • Contribute to strategic discussions by evaluating options and recommending solutions.
  • Provide oversight and constructive feedback on team deliverables, configurations, and testing activities.
  • Continuously assess and improve personal skills, work habits, and professional effectiveness.
  • Foster positive working relationships and maintain a collaborative team environment.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of integrated healthcare information systems.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of information technology, including systems, applications, operations, and support.
  • Adhere to established Information Systems (IS) standards, protocols, and best practices.
  • Apply project management principles to testing efforts and QA initiatives.
