This role requires a thorough understanding of quality assurance/control and chemical processing philosophies, principles, systems, methods, tools, standards, organizational and team dynamics, customer satisfaction, training, interpersonal relationships, improvement systems, and professional ethics. The position involves a deep understanding of management systems, including their development, documentation, and implementation with respect to domestic standards or requirements. Key responsibilities include creating, implementing, and maintaining standard processing and equipment matrices and procedures to support compliance. This includes flow-down through requirements planning, product realization planning, and associated activities. The role also involves creating, implementing, and verifying the accuracy of standard process trees within material requirements planning (MRP) systems and developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and accuracy for like processes/approvals at each plant during the initial deployment of the MRP system. Performing internal audits and developing operational and quality procedures to support the qualification of new processes and approvals are also crucial. The position requires a thorough understanding of the audit process, including types of audits, planning, preparation, execution, reporting results, and follow-up. Supporting quality programs, including tracking, analyzing, and reporting results, and utilizing problem-solving methods for continual improvement are essential. The role supports product and process quality in accordance with established quality principles, planning processes, material control, acceptance sampling, and measurement systems. The ability to support quality product applications in chemical processing, nondestructive testing, and surface enhancement processes and activities is necessary. The position requires flexibility to step in as needed to ensure on-time delivery and a thorough understanding and ability to implement problem-solving and lean quality improvement tools and techniques. The individual must be able to acquire and analyze data using appropriate standard quantitative methods across a spectrum of business environments to facilitate and implement process analysis and improvements. A thorough understanding and ability to implement risk analysis philosophies/methodologies and their applications, as well as readiness processes and requirements, are also expected.
