About The Position

Carvana is hiring for entry-level automotive roles at its Inspection Center in Lorain, Ohio. Available positions include Detailer, Lot Attendant, Photobooth Associate, and Inspection Associate. Detailers wash, clean, and buff vehicles; Lot Attendants move vehicles between departments; Photobooth Associates photograph vehicles; and Inspection Associates inspect vehicle interiors and exteriors to identify imperfections and defects. The position pays $17–$18 per hour. Two schedules are offered: Monday through Friday, 6 a.m.–3 p.m., or Monday through Thursday, 4 p.m.–3 a.m. Mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs. Employees receive training programs intended to help their skills and pay progress with the company. Hiring is contingent on passing a complete background check. The role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must possess a valid driver’s license; some positions may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced, changing production environment, sometimes exposed to excessive heat or cold.
Must use required safety equipment, which may include a face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, a mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Must pass a complete background check.
Must be able to work mandatory overtime based on business needs.

Responsibilities

Depending on the assigned role, detail vehicles by washing them, cleaning interiors, and buffing exteriors.
Move vehicles from one department to another within the Inspection Center.
Take photographs of vehicles for customer viewing on Carvana’s website.
Inspect vehicle interiors and exteriors and accurately identify imperfections or defects.
Work mandatory overtime when required by business needs.
