About The Position

The Manufacturing Quality Analyst ensures manufacturing processes and products adhere to quality standards. The role conducts detailed quality inspections, analyzes data to identify trends and improvement opportunities, and develops and implements quality control plans. The analyst collaborates with cross-functional teams to address quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions. The role also includes training and mentoring junior quality staff. The position supports quality control, product testing, documentation and reporting, and continuous improvement. It works with production teams and suppliers, maintains quality records and procedures, participates in audits, and helps ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Requirements

An associate degree in mechanical, electrical, or a related field, or at least 5 years of experience in a quality-related position or equivalent work experience providing exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel and SQL.
In-depth understanding of problem-solving principles and practices.
Ability to use quality-based measuring equipment.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Perform inspections and audits to ensure products meet quality standards.
Identify and report defects or nonconformities.
Develop and maintain quality control procedures.
Monitor production processes and implement corrective actions when necessary.
Collaborate with the production team to improve product quality.
Conduct root cause analysis for quality issues.
Maintain records and documentation of quality control activities.
Develop and execute testing protocols for raw materials and finished products.
Analyze test results and provide recommendations for product improvements.
Work with suppliers to ensure raw materials meet quality standards.
Conduct shelf life studies and stability testing.
Assist with validation of manufacturing processes.
Prepare quality reports and communicate results to management.
Maintain and update quality documentation, including SOPs and work instructions.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Participate in internal and external audits.
Implement and monitor corrective and preventive actions.
Train employees on quality standards and procedures.
Identify areas for improvement in manufacturing processes.
Implement lean principles and other quality improvement methodologies.
Participate in cross-functional teams to address quality issues and implement solutions.
Monitor and analyze quality metrics to drive continuous improvement efforts.
Stay current with industry trends and best practices in quality assurance and control.
Train and mentor junior quality staff.
