Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related discipline
  • 6 – 10 years of experience in a similar role/environment
  • Licensed as a P.Eng. or P.Geo. in Ontario, meeting the requirements as a “Qualified Person” per O. Reg. 153/04 and O. Reg. 406/19
  • Understanding of regulations applicable to environmental site assessment and remediation programs (i.e. CSA, TSSA, O. Reg. 153/04, O.Reg.406/19, O. Reg. 903, etc.)
  • Experience with filing Record of Site Conditions (RSCs) in accordance with O. Reg. 153/04 and conducting Excess Soil Management in accordance with O. Reg. 406/19
  • A valid G license and access to a vehicle to travel to and from sites (mileage to sites compensated), including valid and appropriate vehicle insurance
  • Proven success in client relationship management and strong leadership skills
  • Comfortable interacting with the public, clients, contractors, and co-workers
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively, and to proactively respond to time-sensitive issues

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of work plans and oversight on the execution of field work associated with our services (e.g. Phase One and Two ESAs, Excess Soil Management, remediation, and other related disciplines in the field)
  • Preparation and/or review of technical reports
  • Communication with clients to assist with the development and execution of work
  • Proposal preparation and/or review
  • Ensuring high quality technical work, including field methodology, reporting, and client deliverables
  • Fostering an atmosphere of continuous improvement
  • Proactively committing to creating a positive work environment
  • Supporting and/or developing Health & Safety programs
  • Collaborating with other disciplines at EnVision with respect to multi-disciplinary projects
  • Travel to sites within the Greater Toronto Area and Ontario, as needed
  • Any other functions assigned as part of your employment
