About The Position

Wittenberg Village, an assisted living community in Crown Point, is hiring a part-time Qualified Medication Aide (QMA). The role involves administering medications, supporting residents with daily care, and working with a nursing team familiar with residents’ routines and histories. Day and evening shifts are available. The position requires working every other weekend and some holidays. Applicants must hold current QMA certification on the Indiana Aide Registry, which includes current CNA certification in good standing, and meet the listed experience and certification requirements. Requirements

Current QMA certification on the Indiana Aide Registry, including current CNA certification in good standing.
At least 1 year of experience working as a QMA.
Insulin administration certification.
CPR certification.
Ability to pass a background check and drug screen; applicants must be able to produce a negative drug test.

Nice To Haves

Experience with electronic health records.

Responsibilities

Prepare and administer oral, topical, eye, and ear medications as directed by each resident’s care plan.
Check and record vital signs and blood sugar readings.
Support residents with daily living needs, including bathing, dressing, and mobility.
Observe changes in residents’ conditions and report them promptly to the nurse.
Maintain accurate medication administration records (MAR).
Communicate with the nursing team about resident needs throughout the shift.
Keep the care environment safe, clean, and organized.
