About The Position

The Saskatchewan Health Authority offers medical imaging services at over 100 locations across the province. These services include radiography, fluoroscopy, computed tomography, MRI, ultrasound, and nuclear and molecular imaging among others. In this environment, the Qualified Medical Imaging Physicist would provide leadership in the development of policies and practices to support high quality imaging in a safe environment for patients and those providing care. Requirements

  • 5 years’ experience as Qualified Medical Imaging Physicist
  • Masters/Doctoral degree from accredited university/college in Medical Physics OR Masters/Doctoral in Physics or Science with Physics as a major option, OR Masters/Doctoral Engineering or Applied Mathematics

  • Registered/Eligible for registration with the CCPM
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a public healthcare is preferred
  • Experience in multi-site healthcare environment is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership in the development of policies and practices to support high quality imaging in a safe environment for patients and those providing care.
  • May provide expert coaching to other facilities.
