Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) - Adult Services
About The Position
United Ability, located in the Oxmoor area of Birmingham, is a program that provides a variety of services to adults with disabilities. We are currently seeking candidates to join our team as an Adult Day Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional- QIDP working to ensure the development and evaluation of Individual Support Plans (ISP). Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a human service field or a bachelor’s degree with 12 hours course credit in a human service field required.
- Excellent written, oral, and electronic communication skills required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver’s licenses
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of experience working directly w/persons with intellectual or other developmental disabilities preferred.
- Completed QDDP training preferred; training must be completed within 30 days of hire.
Responsibilities
- Creates or assists in creating ISPs for all program participants.
- Monitors the quality, services, and legal documentation required of all aspects of the ISP to assure the overall program integrity.
- Communicates with families/caregivers regarding individual participant needs and progress.
- Participates in certification reviews and is involved through correspondence and oral communication with government and accreditation agencies.
- Facilitates interdisciplinary team meetings to assure continuity between services.
- Assures service records are complete.
- Provides ISP documentation to outside agencies.
- Track information through ADIDAS and UA spreadsheet to ensure accuracy of POCs
