About The Position

Syensqo is looking for a Qualifications Engineer for their site in Winona, MN. This role involves initiating, developing, and executing product qualifications for raw material or finished goods changes in the aerospace materials sector. The engineer will interpret and recommend qualification strategies in compliance with corporate standards, foster collaborative relationships with manufacturing, quality, customer engineering, and account managers, and build relationships with suppliers and customers to ensure clear communication and efficient requalification projects. The role also requires adherence to management of change procedures in coordination with site and global quality organizations.

Requirements

  • BS in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Chemical/Materials Engineering
  • Must be a self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Must set high quality standards and have a strong sense of urgency (action oriented)
  • Ability to create and lead cross functional teams engaging internal and external customers
  • Takes initiative in solving complex technical and process problems
  • Good organization skills, ability to learn and manage multiple projects
  • Ability to display and develop project management skills
  • Basic to intermediate understanding of the composite industry, including resin families, fibers
  • Problem solving, technical presentations, relationship building and technical conflict resolution
  • Basic understanding of analytical, physical, and mechanical test methods
  • Basic understanding of statistical analysis
  • English is a must
  • Candidate must be a Green Card Holder or a US Citizen
