About The Position

The Division of Hematology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) is recruiting a compassionate, collaborative, and academically driven physician to join our nationally recognized Leukemia and Blood and Marrow Transplant Program. Practice at the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center, Nebraska’s only National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated cancer center, where you will care for patients with acute and chronic leukemias across the continuum of disease. This faculty position offers the opportunity to expand access to novel therapies, advance leukemia research, and educate the next generation of hematologists and oncologists.

Requirements

MD or DO (or equivalent)
Board certified or board eligible in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology
Interest in teaching fellows, residents, and medical students
MD, DO, MBBS or equivalent.
Board certified in internal medicine and BC/BE in medical oncology and/or hematology.

Responsibilities

Care for patients with acute and chronic leukemias while helping shape the future of leukemia treatment.
Expand patient access to targeted therapies, immunotherapies, cellular therapies, and innovative clinical trials not widely available in the region.
Collaborate with nationally recognized leukemia physicians, blood and marrow transplant specialists, cellular therapy experts, and a dedicated multidisciplinary team.
Advance clinical and translational research through the Big Ten Cancer Research Consortium and investigator-initiated studies.
Build an academic career through opportunities in research, teaching, leadership, and mentorship.
