QMS Manager

Huntress
$185,000 - $200,000Remote

About The Position

Huntress is a remote-first company founded in 2015 by former NSA cyber operators, dedicated to making enterprise-grade cybersecurity accessible to businesses of all sizes. We support security teams and service providers in protecting complex environments. Our platform is built in-house and backed by a 24/7 human-led Security Operations Center (SOC), ensuring continuous protection for over 5 million endpoints and 15 million identities worldwide. We are committed to standing with our customers and supporting each other. This role is for an outcome-obsessed quality leader who will build the measurement, governance, and controls necessary for Huntress to safely expand its agentic security operations. The QMS Manager will establish practical standards, own quality risks through resolution, and create reusable insights for various teams. Initially a hands-on builder role, it is expected to grow into leadership of the QMS function, including hiring, coaching, and managing a team.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience building or managing quality, governance, operational excellence, or control programs, ideally in a security operations environment.
  • Experience managing people, setting clear expectations, coaching performance, and building team capability.
  • A security operations background and understanding of how SOC investigations, analyst decisions, escalations, and remediation outcomes fit together.
  • Ability to design meaningful quality measurements, sampling approaches, review processes, and reporting that distinguish signal from noise.
  • Comfortable building a program from scratch, defining practical standards, and improving them as systems, workflows, and operational needs change.
  • Ability to communicate findings directly and constructively, maintain independence in assessments, and turn quality risks into clear corrective actions.
  • Proficiency in using AI tools to improve day-to-day analysis and reporting while checking outputs carefully and maintaining judgment, accuracy, and accountability.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain the Security Quality Management System across agentic investigations and human-led investigations.
  • Establish sampling methodologies, review cadences, quality standards, and validation criteria for decisions, workflows, escalations, and remediations.
  • Independently review agentic investigation outcomes and compare agentic decisions with expert analyst outcomes to establish trusted human baselines.
  • Monitor decision quality, workflow effectiveness, behavioral drift, and recurring failure patterns, escalating significant risks before they affect customers.
  • Produce quality scorecards and reporting that explain accuracy, trends, confidence intervals, and operational impact to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Lead root-cause analysis and corrective-action validation, then turn findings into practical improvements with Analysis, Product, Engineering, and Security Operations.
  • Use AI tools to work faster and smarter on everyday analysis, reporting, and synthesis while applying sound judgment to validate outputs.
