About The Position

The QMHP/Clinical Support Specialist works as part of CK Behavioral Health, a program of CK Family Services, and is supervised by the Behavioral Health Supervisor. The role engages directly with children, youth, and their parents or caregivers, using nationally recognized, evidence-based and research-supported practices to promote well-being and positive outcomes. Program leadership provides training and ongoing coaching to support certification as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP). The position also requires accurate documentation and adherence to established protocols, policies, and procedures. Services are provided in person based on the location in the job posting. CK Behavioral Health serves children, youth, and their parents or caregivers, including people in or formerly in the Texas foster care system and clients covered by Medicaid who are not affiliated with foster care.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field specified in the Texas Administrative Code for QMHP qualifications.
Basic therapeutic skills.
Verbal and written communication skills.
Organizational skills.
Experience and training working with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness.
Experience and training working with children with severe emotional disturbances.
Experience and training delivering services based on curriculum.
Self-discipline, thoroughness, and attention to accuracy.
