About The Position

Coordinates quality and operations improvements for the BMT Program. Provides oversight and coordination for Northside Hospital departments to ensure continuous regulatory compliance of the NSH BMT/Leukemia Program with the Foundation for Accreditation of Cellular Therapies (FACT), Joint Commission Accreditation of Hospital Organizations (JCAHO), National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP), American Association of Blood Banks (AABB), Federal Drug Association (FDA), and other applicable organizations. Facilitates teamwork and the use of continuous quality improvement methodologies. Works collaboratively with the BMT Program Medical Director, BMT managers and supervisors, and the NSH Quality Improvement department to ensure all regulatory requirements are continuously met.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• At least five years of experience in bone marrow transplantation.
• Working knowledge of regulatory standards for a bone marrow transplant program, such as FACT.
• Demonstrated leadership ability and effective analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize assignments, and use sound judgment.
• Knowledge of quality improvement methodology and ability to educate others in QI principles.
• Strong research skills, including proficiency in statistical methods.
• Good interpersonal skills and knowledge of team dynamics in an interdisciplinary setting.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree in Nursing or a related field from an accredited college or university.
• Demonstrated knowledge of computer systems.
