About The Position

The QC Technician is responsible for inspecting L.B. Foster products to ensure they meet company standards and customer specifications. The role also assists with in-house calibrations and investigations of product quality issues.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of manufacturing experience.
• At least 1 year of inspection experience.
• Ability to read and interpret ASTM standards and construction documents.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to read drawings and prints.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment involving heavy machinery and equipment.
• Ability to prioritize and use time efficiently.
• Focus on problem solving and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming, in-process, and finished goods according to specified criteria and test methods.
• Communicate nonconforming products and out-of-tolerance conditions clearly to team members and supervisors.
• Assist production or quality teams in determining causes of nonconformances and possible actions.
• Reject products that do not meet requirements.
• Maintain quality records and support management in maintaining quality certifications.
• Label and segregate nonconforming or hold material appropriately.
• Perform or manage calibration of inspection equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
