About The Position

Fenix Parts, Inc. is seeking a QC Technician to help ensure the consistent quality, appearance, and accuracy of outgoing orders. The role examines stock and brokered parts, records discrepancies, and works with internal resources to resolve issues. It also includes refurbishing parts to meet company appearance standards, preparing materials and documentation for shipping, coordinating shipping arrangements, moving materials to staging areas, maintaining supplies, and keeping the QC area clean. The position is Monday through Friday, with no weekends.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
1–3 years of related experience and/or training with heavy equipment to move vehicles or fragile objects, or equivalent.
Ability to lift 75 lbs.
Excellent close vision and depth perception, ability to see color, and ability to adjust focus.
Attention to detail.
Basic computer skills.

Nice To Haves

Forklift certification.

Responsibilities

Examine stock and brokered parts for wear and defects, comparing them with purchase orders, work orders, and other records to verify accuracy.
Record discrepancies in part descriptions, including damage not documented on purchase or work orders, and work with internal resources to resolve problems.
Inspect part appearance to confirm it meets established company standards.
Refurbish parts as needed to meet the established appearance standard.
Pack, seal, and label materials for shipping using the appropriate tag.
Prepare shipping and routing documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, packing lists, and invoices.
Contact carrier representatives to arrange shipping or provide shipping and delivery instructions.
Deliver or route materials to the appropriate staging area using a hand truck, lift truck, forklift, or sorting bins.
Requisition and store quality-control and shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory.
Maintain housekeeping in the QC area.
