About The Position

Pacific Aerospace & Electronics (PacAero) is seeking a Quality Control Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate is committed to innovation and technology. PacAero specializes in electronic connectors and housings for extreme environments, serving industries such as medical, aerospace, and defense. Their products are used in critical applications including cardiac-function devices, aerospace programs, space exploration, and deep-earth operations. The Level I QC Technician is a reliable individual responsible for performing dimensional and visual inspections of products to ensure they meet internal and customer quality requirements. This role requires a foundational understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), knowledge of standard inspection methods, and proficiency with basic inspection tools. The technician will conduct basic to intermediate inspections while maintaining efficiency and quality standards. Adherence to safety policies, company procedures, and a strong attention to detail are crucial for success in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Work cooperatively with all employees.

  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
  • Observe safety regulations and follow protective equipment requirements. Report hazardous observations to your lead or supervisor.
  • Comprehend and follow all parts handling requirements.
  • In-process dimensional and visual inspection of machined components.
  • Communicating in-process inspection results to machinists.
  • Final dimensional inspection of finished product.
  • Recording measurement results on inspection reports.
  • Inspection of incoming raw material and components.
  • Inspection of pre-plate housings.
  • Inspection using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gages, gage pins, thread gages, gage blocks, profilometers, surface comparators, etc.
  • Introductory/working skills with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and Vision Systems.
  • Follow daily clean up and housekeeping procedures.
  • Comply with all quality, safety, and work-related rules and regulations.
  • Introductory/working skills: Basic introduction/training to specific inspection equipment. Able to operate inspection equipment that has been pre-programmed.
  • Promote teamwork and cooperative effort.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and unobstructed work area.
  • Understand and apply appropriate quality improvement processes.
