About The Position

Silent-Aire Limited Partnership, a subsidiary of Johnson Controls, is seeking a QC Electrical Inspector for its facility in Nisku. This role is responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of in-process and final unit inspections, maintaining documentation, and adhering to safety standards. The position operates on a Friday to Sunday night shift schedule (6 PM - 5:30 AM).

Requirements

  • Reliable transportation to commute to the Nisku facility.
  • Ability to work Friday to Sunday Nightshift (6 PM - 5:30 AM).
  • Familiarity with QA/QC control documentation.
  • Experience in inspecting in-process units and sub-assemblies.
  • Ability to inspect drawings and marking/breaking work.
  • Understanding of safety policies and procedures.
  • Ability to perform long periods of standing.
  • Adherence to Silent-Aire Limited Partnership safety program standards and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations, and Code.

  • Experience in a commercial/industrial environment.
  • Experience with hyperscale cooling and modular data center solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain QA/QC control documentation.
  • Organize all inspection documentation papers and online photos provided by inspectors.
  • Perform daily inspections of in-process units, ensuring sealing is completed, no missing parts, and all other in-process inspections are of high quality.
  • Ensure productions are inspected as determined by company requirements, checking of paperwork.
  • Perform daily inspection of paperwork for all in-process units and report any deficiencies to the Quality Supervisor.
  • Complete sub-assembly inspections (motor, coil, evap., furnace, and paint).
  • Complete unit final inspections.
  • Review inspection documents and make unit packages.
  • Report any observed safety issues to the Safety Coach or Safety Coordinator.
  • Assist with the education of other inspectors and production team members.
  • Inspect drawings and marking/breaking work to ensure correctness.
  • Assist with marking Engineering changes where drawings are not correct and submit to the Quality Supervisor.
  • Inspect all aspects of units with the appropriate forms from beginning to end and record all discrepancies.
  • Organize all inspection documentation papers and online photos.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with Silent-Aire Limited Partnership safety program standards and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations, and Code.
  • Other duties as required.
