About The Position

The Quality Control (QC) Technician is expected to monitor and document the production process within the Infusion department. He/she must follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to complete all assigned tasks. The QC Technician must be able to meet a high standard of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). This position requires mutual respect, active communication and collaborative teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Calibrate analytical instruments on a scheduled basis
  • Use analytical instruments to obtain Brix values using refractometers, Temperature values using thermometers, Titratable acid values using pH meters, and Weight of fruit samples using weighing scales
  • Visually inspect any material rejected by the optical sorter
  • Record observations on forms (Physical format – respective MF 14XX forms, Digital format - Infusion Turns Log (data entry))
  • Assist in the grading of fruits
  • Conduct daily inspection and record observations on cGMP Infusion Checklist
  • Perform pre-operational sanitation verification using ATP swabs and ATP reader
  • Submit work orders for food safety related maintenance issue
  • Initiate Hold for non-conforming items
  • Assist in the Environmental Monitoring Program (EMP) by swabbing areas in Infusion
  • Assist in the training of new team members
  • Report any issues or unusual observations to the QC Lead
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices
  • Perform other quality-related duties as assigned by QC Lead or Quality management
