About The Position

The Quality Control (QC) Technician is expected to monitor and document the production process within the Dryer department. He/she must follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to complete all assigned tasks. The QC Technician must be able to meet a high standard of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). This position requires mutual respect, active communication and collaborative teamwork.

Requirements

Must be able to read and write in English
Basic mathematics
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Must have reliable transportation
Must be self-motivated
Must work well with others
Must be willing to follow leadership
Must possess, or be trainable in, basic computer literacy skills

Responsibilities

Calibrate analytical instruments on a scheduled basis
Update parameters of Wash Labels through Crystal Reports
Print and apply Wash Labels on Dryer totes
Create Packaging labels through Crystal reports
Print and file Packaging labels into production folder
Use analytical instruments to obtain Water Activity values using Water Activity Meter
Use analytical instruments to obtain Moisture Content % values using Moisture Analyzer
Record observations on forms (Physical format – Wash sheets, Digital format – Batch Master GP)
Inspect rare earth magnets and record observations
Create End of Shift report and email to QC Dryer group
Conduct daily inspection and record observations on cGMP Dryer Checklist
Perform pre-operational sanitation verification using ATP swabs and ATP reader
Submit work orders for food safety related maintenance issue
Initiate Hold for non-conforming items
Assist in the Environmental Monitoring Program (EMP) by swabbing areas in Dryer
Assist in the training of new team members
Report any issues or unusual observations to the QC Lead
Maintain good housekeeping practices
Perform other quality-related duties as assigned by QC Lead or Quality management
