This role involves performing quality control microbiology analysis, environmental monitoring, sample collection, lab support, and investigation reports, while also providing leadership to a team of analysts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, or other science-related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience.
  • At least 3 years of microbiology experience in industry setting.
  • 3-5 years of previous leadership experience.
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
  • 3-5 Years of cGMP experience.
  • Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with LIMS preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs all duties relevant to the Quality Control Microbiology Analyst position as required.
  • Performs environmental monitoring and compressed gas collection of controlled environments.
  • Performs collection of water and clean steam samples from manufacturing systems.
  • Performs lab support functions and inventory management.
  • Maintains laboratory supplies, media, and reagents inventory.
  • Performs laboratory investigation reports.
  • Uses Laboratory Information Management System (LJMS) for sample and sample test result tracking.
  • Schedules above tasks on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
  • Supports and monitors performance of team of analysts.
  • May participate in new hire interviews.
  • Supports the on-boarding process of new employees.
  • Participates in training of other employees.
  • Performs peer review of data.
  • Assists in coordinating equipment maintenance and calibration.
  • Participates in the overtime and weekend schedule as required.
