This role involves performing quality control microbiology analysis, environmental monitoring, sample collection, lab support, and investigation reports, while also providing leadership to a team of analysts.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, or other science-related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience.
At least 3 years of microbiology experience in industry setting.
3-5 years of previous leadership experience.
Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
3-5 Years of cGMP experience.
Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills.
Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies.

Experience with LIMS preferred.

Responsibilities

Performs all duties relevant to the Quality Control Microbiology Analyst position as required.
Performs environmental monitoring and compressed gas collection of controlled environments.
Performs collection of water and clean steam samples from manufacturing systems.
Performs lab support functions and inventory management.
Maintains laboratory supplies, media, and reagents inventory.
Performs laboratory investigation reports.
Uses Laboratory Information Management System (LJMS) for sample and sample test result tracking.
Schedules above tasks on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
Supports and monitors performance of team of analysts.
May participate in new hire interviews.
Supports the on-boarding process of new employees.
Participates in training of other employees.
Performs peer review of data.
Assists in coordinating equipment maintenance and calibration.
Participates in the overtime and weekend schedule as required.
