The Quality Control Manager will implement and manage quality control systems designed to ensure continuous production of advanced composite materials and applications. The position supervises a team of QC Technicians. Essential Functions Directs QC lab functions at assigned locations Follows and revises QC plans; reads and understands technical specifications Provides proper amount of QC personnel Maintains QC lab equipment Develops and approves mix designs to maximize quality and minimize cost Interprets customer requirements Develops and implements best practices Conducts internal process audits Develops and maintains current knowledge of advances in quality control field Works with estimating department and plant managers to determine aggregate sources Translates technical information to lay people at weekly scheduling meetings Facilitates collaboration among multiple workgroups (plant, lab, laydown, and field crews) Establishes effective relationships with aggregate supplier Meets INDOT deadlines Ensures training needs are met Conducts OJT with lab technicians and apprentices Presents materials to various groups/levels of company Promotes and maintains safe work environment Exhibits safe work behaviors and ensures all QC employees do the same Wears all prescribed PPE Evaluates, controls, and eliminates hazards from lab areas Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, including but not limited to continuously growing in alignment with the Company’s core values, competencies, and skills.
